Ernesto Colnago is one of the true living legends of Italian bicycle building. He established his firm in 1954 and he still leads the company over 50 years later. In the 1960 Olympics in Rome, the championship credentials of Colnago bicycles were established with the gold medal ride of Luigi Ariente. Many great frame builders have come and gone since then but Colnago is still at the cutting edge of technology, still making bicycles that are the choice of many of the top pros and the dream bikes for the rest of us. Riders appreciate the combination of quickness, handling and durability that few other bikes offer. C50 - Strada

C50 Road is the MUST, the reference, the standard by which pro riders measure their bicycles. Winner of all the toughest one-day races like Paris-Roubaix, and Grand Tours, C50 Road has tubing and lugs of new generation high modulus unidirectional carbon fiber which provide extra stiffness and lighter weight. The C50 Road has patented HP chain stays that increase stiffness under force and diminish road vibration. The rear seat stays use Colnago’s B-Stay configuration which has 4 various sizes to optimize performance. The bottom bracket has a easily removable CNC Titanium insert to facilitate maintenance. For 2008, Colnago has all new graphics that give the C50 a new and exciting look. The fork of this model will be Colnago Carbon 75 (1” 1\8). With 20 sizes available, Colnago offers an incredible range of size choices to meet the needs of any rider.

CLX

CLX is Colnago’s top of Made in Taiwan carbon fiber model. This particular kind of frame is an affordable, high performance Colnago with an innovative frame. CLX has a monocoque front triangle designed and created in Cambiago, Italy as a project of Colnago Lab. The front triangle has two special external reinforcing ribs along the top and down tubes and bottombracket. CLX has variable carbon lay up where extra strength is needed like the head tube and bottom bracket that provides additional rigidity under stress. Colnago all new CLX has arc shaped rear chain stays for better braking performance and comfort, with rear chain stays in Colnago’s distinctive leaf shape section. An all new monocoque 1” 1\8 CLX carbon fiber fork and Colnago AERO Carbon seat post that matches the aero section down also grace Colnago’s new CLX.
